Detailed Itinerary
D1 Arrival in Mumbai
Touch down at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport and transfer to your hotel in India's most dynamic city. In the evening, take a walk along Marine Drive — the city's beloved Queen's Necklace — where the curved bay shimmers with streetlights and the Arabian Sea breeze carries the scent of bhel puri from beach stalls. End at Chowpatty Beach for a paper cone of tangy pani puri. Travel tip: Mumbai local trains are an experience, but stick to cabs or ride-hailing apps if you value personal space.
D2 Mumbai Discovery
Dive into Mumbai's rich history: stand before the Gateway of India as the morning sun lights its basalt arch, then board a ferry to Elephanta Island to explore the rock-cut cave temples with their monumental Trimurti Shiva sculpture — a UNESCO masterpiece dating to the 5th century. After lunch of pav bhaji — buttered bread with spicy vegetable mash — visit the open-air Dhobi Ghat, where thousands of workers wash Mumbai's laundry by hand in a vast concrete maze, then admire the stunning Victorian-Gothic architecture of CST Railway Station.
D3 Bollywood & Fly to Goa
Go behind the scenes of the world's largest film industry with a morning tour of a Bollywood studio, where you may witness a song sequence being filmed or visit sets ranging from village squares to palace ballrooms. After a spicy vada pav lunch — Mumbai's iconic potato burger — transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Goa. Arrive in India's beach paradise and settle into your resort just in time to watch the sun sink into the Arabian Sea, cocktail in hand.
D4 North Goa Beaches
Spend a full day exploring North Goa's legendary beaches: start at Baga, where shacks serve fresh seafood and water sports tempt the adventurous, then continue to the bohemian Anjuna, famous for its Wednesday flea market and dramatic rocky shore. In Vagator, climb the red laterite cliffs for stunning coastal views before visiting the well-preserved 17th-century Aguada Fort, where Portuguese cannons still point seaward and panoramic views stretch along the entire coastline.
D5 Old Goa Heritage
Explore Old Goa, the former capital of Portuguese India, beginning at the Basilica of Bom Jesus where the miraculously preserved body of St. Francis Xavier lies in a silver casket. Continue to the magnificent Se Cathedral with its Golden Bell, then wander the colorful streets of the Fontainhas Latin Quarter in Panjim, where pastel-hued Portuguese houses line narrow lanes and art galleries tuck into heritage buildings. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner of Goan fish curry, spicy vindaloo, and the layered coconut dessert bebinca.
D6 Departure
Enjoy a final Goan breakfast — perhaps poee bread with Goan sausage — before your transfer to Goa Airport. Pick up cashew nuts, feni (local cashew spirit), or hand-painted azulejo tiles as a reminder of this sun-drenched coast. Até logo — until next time.
